Add technical details about tires and rims. E.g. summer tires and winter tires size, make, date mounted, date taken off. To track e.g how many KM a pair of tires last.

Hey all, this seems like quite a popular request! I guess we’re getting a lot more people who are modifying their cars a lot so it makes a lot of sense.

Sharing our current thoughts on this and the level of detail we are working to try and support on the platform:

This specific request has two parts to it.

One part is keeping track of changes to tyre work/usage over time to check their efficiency, and wear over time. This will come as part of other things we’re working in this area… (Changes over time).

The other part is being able to have lots more technical about wheels in general in a cars ‘current state’ the current rims, current tyres spacing, etc.

This is the current shortlist we’re working on finding a way to include without it becoming overwhelming. Any further suggestions?

wheel_diameter_mm: Diameter of the wheel in millimeters.

wheel_width_mm: Width of the wheel in millimeters.

material_type: Type of material the wheel is made of (e.g., Alloy, Steel).

offset_mm: Distance from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting surface in millimeters.

backspacing_mm: Distance from the mounting surface to the back edge of the wheel in millimeters.

finish_type: The type of surface finish (e.g., Polished, Matte).

color_code: Color of the wheel in HEX or descriptive code.

tire_type: Type of tire (e.g., Performance, All-Season).

tire_width_mm: Width of the tire in millimeters.

tire_aspect_ratio_percent: Ratio of the tire’s height to its width, expressed as a percentage.

tire_diameter_mm: Diameter of the tire in millimeters.

profile_type: Profile of the tire (e.g., Low, High).

aspect_ratio_percent: Aspect ratio of the tire as a percentage.

bolt_pattern_mm: The bolt pattern of the wheel in millimeters (e.g., 5x114.3).

lug_nut_type: Type of lug nut used (e.g., Regular, Locking).

lug_nut_color: Color of the lug nuts in HEX or descriptive color.

hub_cap_design: Design style of the hub cap (e.g., Standard, Custom).

center_cap_logo: Logo on the center cap, stored as URL or binary data.

center_cap_color: Color of the center cap in HEX or descriptive color.

spacer_size_mm: Thickness of the wheel spacers in millimeters.

spacer_material: Material of the spacers (e.g., Aluminum).

racing_wheel_type: Indicates if the wheel is a racing type (Yes/No).

beadlock: Indicates if the wheel has a beadlock feature (Yes/No).

suspension_modifications: Type of suspension modifications (e.g., Lifted, Lowered).

camber_angle_degrees: Camber angle of the wheels in degrees.

toe_angle_degrees: Toe angle of the wheels in degrees.

tpms_integration: Indicates if TPMS is integrated (Yes/No).

tpms_brand: Brand of the TPMS (e.g., OEM, Aftermarket).
