To be able to type in dates#34

On adding old info to a history file ability to actually type date instead of having to swipe back years….

I understand what you’re asking for I think.

Would you mind sharing a bit more about your process here when adding older entries to your history file?

I’m hoping to understand more because dates need to be formatted very specifically so understanding your process might help come up with a good solution to this.

Do you want to copy and paste from a spreadsheet or other document of some sort or is it just that you prefer to type the date in?

Potentially if you have a spreadsheet we’re also looking at ‘bulk import’ functionality.

It’s also worth noting - if it’s that you are swiping through every month to go back years that when using our date picker you can tap on the year itself to select the year. I’ve attached two screenshots which might help if that’s the case:

That helps. Eventually i may be bored enough to transfer my late father in laws records of oil changes from new for his 1968 mgb that i have. So that definitely helps

Sort of related, but I’ve got dates in UK format (obviously!), If I edit the event (to change the date, or add a comment) the date flips to US format (YYYY-MM-DD) but flips back to UK format once done.
Also, if I enter day, month, year but then try to delete a character, it wipes out the whole date, not the single character.
Quirky, but easily worked around!
