under tasks, it could be cool to have a sublist of parts needed for a task rather than have a big notes.
e.g “add part” and you can name it, add a cost and a link to it.
this could also be used for things that arent directly being done. e.g welding, allows you to put a link to a company, name of repair and cost.

We have a full Tasks rebuild in the planning to add a lot of new things to it (including better organization of larger tasks) but also an ability to take a task and convert it to a history file entry (optionally) when it gets completed. I’ll be sure to incorporate this request into that work.
I’m not sure we’ll be able to implement costs etc into it, but we may be able to take files which have been associated with a task along the way (invoices etc) and use those to generate the correct costs etc in the history file when the task is completed.
